H.E. the Deputy President of Kenya, Mr. William Ruto, opens the Turkana Tourism & Culture Festival

The Hon. Consul, Mrs. Vicky Pantazopoulou, attended all events of the Turkana Tourism & Culture Festival officially invited by H.E. the Governor of Turkana County, Hon. Josphat Koli Nanok (13-17 of Aug. 2019). The Festival is held annually in the Lodwar, capital of the County, and is a major cultural event for Kenya as well as for the neighboring countries of Uganda, South Sudan and Ethiopia from which participate groups belonging in the Turkana tribe. The purpose of the Festival is to honor the cultural heritage and to convey messages of cohesion, coexistence, brotherhood and peace.
