On the 22nd of December 2011, in the Presidential Manor in Athens – Greece, Her Excellency the Ambassador of Kenya Mrs Josephine W. Gaita, presented her Credentials to His Excellency the President of the Hellenic Republic, Mr. Karolos Papoulias.
After the Credential Presentation, a reception was given by Mrs Vicky Pantazopoulou, Honorary Consul of Kenya in Greece in honour of H.E. the Ambassodor of Kenya. Many significant members of the Diplomatic Corps, attended the reception that followed the Credential Presentation, amongst them,
the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps H.E. Mr. Jorge Alejandro Mastropietro, Ambassador of Argentina,
H.E. Mr. Eleftherios Kouvaritakis, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic in Kenya and
Ambassador Elias Klis.
On behalf of His Beatitude the Patriarch of Africa, His Eminence the Bishop of Accra, congratulated H.E. the Ambassador of Kenya.
Their congratulations also offered distinguished members of the business/economic, academic/scientific and artistic community of Greece.
During the reception, H.E. the Ambassador discussed the opportunities of co-operation in the fields of commerce and tourism.
The H.E. Ambassador Mrs Josephine W. Gaita in her visit in Greece was accompanied by her spouse Mr josef Gaita and First Counselor of Kenyan Embassy in Rome, Mrs Jane Makori.
